Alistair Urquhart, The Forgotten Highlander: An Incredible WWII Story of Survival in the Pacific

Alistair Urquhart was a prisoner of war, captured by the Japanese in Singapore in February 1942.  His tale of agonizing pain, injury, slavery on the Hellfire Pass and fear makes for a story that you won’t soon forget.  Also, he was only miles from the Nagasaki atom bomb site in a medical hospital when the bomb drop occurred.  Alistair decided to write his story in 2010, almost 70 years after his 4-year ordeal, to make sure that everyone knew the horrors that the Japanese put him and other soldiers through during the war.

This story is a compelling read, and a true tale of courage, cunning and survival.
